Jasper did a BSc and MSc at the University of Heidelberg, finishing with a master thesis on neural development and stem cell reprogramming in Andreas Trumpps lab at DKFZ. In 2019, he joined the Odom lab to study the impact of genetic variation on gene regulation. His PhD position is shared with the group of Oliver Stegle to combine lab-work with computational approaches. Jasper likes football, cooking, guitars and is constantly improving as a speed-eater.
